SYNOPSIS
This two-class course is for new audio book narrators and audio book narrators that have completed a few books, but are looking for ways increase their knowledge of ACX and help them attain more opportunities.
Class 1 will focus on how to strategically use the ACX audiobook platform and how to maximize the ACX profile features. If you are new to audiobook narration or have started the process and are wondering if ACX is right for you, you may find this series to be useful for navigating some of the ins and outs of ACX. The class will also cover some of the basic hardware and software needs of today's home-based narrators, as well as recording tips and tricks to improve recordings and work flow.
Class 2 will focus on the narration of book excerpts. Christa will listen to your interpretation and delivery, then offer her insights and coaching to help actors dial in reads that engage and connect with the listener.
INSTRUCTOR BIO
Christa Lewis
Christa has narrated over 60 audiobooks in the past three years, has been featured in AudioFile Magazine and earned multiple Earphones Awards for her narration of audiobooks that have become Audible bestsellers in the YA and Literary Fiction categories. Christa is a classically trained actress and graduate of Boston University’s Actor Training Program. She got her start as the voice of international television station DW-TV, and has been a regular on hundreds of cartoons, museum guides, documentaries and commercials. An experienced teacher and director, Christa teaches commercial voiceover and audiobook narration at the V.O.Dojo, Wacky Titles and for the GVAA. She was also a panelist at the 2016 Audio Publishers Association Conference.
REQUIREMENTS
Only performers that have not previously attended Christa Lewis' The ABC's of ACX course are eligible to attend.
Performers are required to attend each of the 2 classes in this course. Be certain you are available to attend each date before adding your name to the RSVP or Waitlist. If RSVPd, failure to attend either of the classes will result in a no-show. No exceptions.
Each class is 7:00pm-10:00pm and the dates are:
