This two hour class will include a Q&A and a cold reading session with an experienced casting professional.
CASTING DIRECTOR BIO
Jillian Johnston-Hines of SANFORD JOHNSTON CASTING
After graduating with a BFA in Theatre Studies, Jillian Johnston moved to Los Angeles and worked in multiple facets of the film industry. She discovered her passion for casting in 2010 working as an assistant to Sanford Casting on the Academy Award winning film The Artist. Jillian assisted various commercial and theatrical casting directors before being hired as Michael Sanford’s Sr. Associate. There she worked on many award winning projects with top commercial, television and film directors, production companies, and advertising agencies. A current member of the Commercial Casting Director’s Association of Los Angeles (CCDA), Jillian is also closely involved with the Casting Society of America (CSA), as well as the Writer’s Guild of America Diversity Committee. After living in California for 14 years, Jillian moved to Atlanta and partnered with her mentor and employer Michael Sanford to head Sanford-Johnston Casting, to cover both the Southeast and Los Angeles markets.
