SYNOPSIS

This in-person class will include a Q&A with writer, director, producer, and casting professional Rick Pagano, followed by a prepared reading session

Participating actors will prepare and perform a scene from film or tv, two minutes in length or less.


ABOUT RICK
Writer/director Rick Pagano’s latest film, “Ten Tricks,” is currently streaming on multiple platforms around the U.S.

As a casting director, Rick, a three-time Emmy nominee, has worked with the top tier of creators in the industry, among them James Cameron, Kathryn Bigelow, Oliver Stone, Cameron Crowe, Jean-Pierre Jeunet, Gus van Sant, Rodrigo Garcia, Joel Silver, Jerry Bruckheimer, Steve Tisch, James Brooks and David E. Kelley.

He has cast more than 80 feature films, including X MEN 3, HOTEL RWANDA, RUDY, DRUGSTORE COWBOY, ALIEN RESURRECTION, POINT BREAK, STRANGE DAYS, BOTTLE SHOCK, and SAY ANYTHING.

His many television credits include “THE BLACKLIST,” “24”, and “PICKET FENCES.” 

For the stage, Rick cast over 200 stage productions around the U.S., including collaborations with Arthur Miller, Neil Simon, Athol Fugard, Steven Sondheim, James Lapine, Gordon Davidson, Jack O’Brien and Des McAnuff.

Mr. Pagano has directed ten of his own original plays, as well as the recent screen version of TEN TRICKS, on the heels of a successful theatrical run in Los Angeles.

Mr. Pagano has a B.A. from Middlebury College and completed his doctoral studies in dramatic literature from Columbia University. He has taught at Columbia University, UCLA, NYU, and the National Theater Conservatory in Lodz, Poland.

You must have completed a Casting Access Application prior to registering for this class.

Please note that the 30-day frequency restriction applies to this class. Your last frequency-restricted class must have taken place no less than 30 (thirty) days prior to this event to be eligible to register. 

NO LATE ARRIVALS and NO WALK-INS are admitted. Only those participants who have received a telephoned or e-mailed confirmation message from staff will be admitted to the session. Waitlisted individuals who have not received such confirmation will not be admitted at the door. Please do not show up if you have not been explicitly confirmed as RSVPed.
