This class will include a Q&A with LA based Casting Director Jane Flowers, followed by a prepared work session.
Participating actors will prepare a comedy scene assigned by the Casting Director several days before the class.
Additional preparation details will be sent upon RSVP confirmation.
BIO
Jane hails from upstate NY and moved to Los Angeles to get her MFA in Acting from UCLA. She transitioned to casting in 2011 and is passionate about getting actors jobs! Recent credits include: Way of the Warrior Kid (Apple feature), Die Hart Season 3 (Roku short form series starring Kevin Hart, JK Simmons, Kathryn Hahn and Anna Garcia), DreamQuil (Indie starring Elizabeth Banks & John C. Reilly), Big Mike's Cabin (Indie starring Christian Camargo, Cleo King and Brett Butler) and America's Most Wanted (Fox reenactment). Jane is particularly proud to have cast "Calamity Jane" as part of a series of short films commissioned by the WB called "REFRAMED: NEXT GEN NARRATIVES" which is now streaming on HBO MAX - please check it out! In 2024, she was nominated for two Artios Awards for "Daisy Jones & The Six" and "Die Hart Season 2". Her favorite thing is to create a safe space where actors feel comfortable to explore and discover new things :)
REQUIREMENTS
You must have completed a Casting Access Application prior to registering for this class.
NO LATE ARRIVALS are admitted. Only those participants who have received a telephoned or e-mailed confirmation message from staff will be admitted to the session. Waitlisted individuals who have not received such confirmation will not be admitted at the door. Please do not show up if you have not been explicitly confirmed as RSVPed.
Cancellations are required by the cancellation date listed above. Cancellation can only be made via the website. You cannot cancel your RSVP via email or phone. Those who have been seated by the start date are expected to comply. You must cancel your reservation before the start date if you cannot comply, or you will face a 90-day ineligibility period. DO NOT BE LATE. Check-in begins 15 minutes to the class start time. If you arrive after the start time, you will not be admitted and it will be counted as a no-show.
Attendance for the entirety of the class is required or it will be counted as a no-show.
The use of any type of gun or weapon props are prohibited in classes.
