This class will include a Q&A with LA based Casting Director Stacey Rice, followed by a prepared work session. 

Participating actors will choose, prepare and perform sides from film or television.  

Additional preparation details will be sent upon RSVP confirmation.


BIO

Los Angeles based Casting Director Stacey Rice has worked in the Casting department for over 14 years and was recently nominated her first Artios Award as Casting Director for FANCY DANCE (Apple). Stacey had three films that she worked on premiere the Sundance Film Festival this year (2025). She was also nominated previosuly for three Artois Award alongside Angelique Midthunder for the groundbreaking casting of FX Networks RESERVATION DOGS and won in 2024. Stacey is the daughter of an enrolled Tuscarora and passionate about Native culture and storytelling. She’s worked on various films and television shows including, but not limited to the Emmy-nominated series EUPHORIA (HBO) and AMERICAN CRIME (ABC), as well as THE LEFTOVERS (HBO), MaXXXine (A24), REZ BALL (Netflix) and most recently ROSEMEAD staring Lucy Liu. In 2018 she was nominated for an Artois Award for her casting work on WIRELESS (Quibi). Her casting experience and personal background has led her to specialize in Native American/Indigenous casting and working with Native writers, directors and storytellers. She was selected by the Casting Society of America for a prestigious mentorship program based on her passion for authentic representation of Native people and communities in the media especially as it relates to Television & Film. With an eye for talent in both actors and filmmakers, she has enjoyed working with Native directors including Sterlin Harjo, Erica Tremblay, Sydney Freeland, Billy Luther and Maya Rose Dittloff. Stacey is a proud member of the Casting Society of America and the Academy of Television Arts and Sciences.


REQUIREMENTS

You must have completed a Casting Access Application prior to registering for this class.

All members must show a valid SAG-AFTRA card when they check in for the class.  No admittance will be granted without your current card or receipt.

NO LATE ARRIVALS are admitted. Only those participants who have received a telephoned or e-mailed confirmation message from staff will be admitted to the session. Waitlisted individuals who have not received such confirmation will not be admitted at the door. Please do not show up if you have not been explicitly confirmed as RSVPed.

Cancellations are required by midnight the night before a class. Cancellation can only be made via the website. You cannot cancel your RSVP via email or phone.  Those who have been seated by the start date are expected to comply. You must cancel your reservation before the start date if you cannot comply, or you will face a six month ineligibility period.  DO NOT BE LATE.  Check-in begins 15 minutes to the class start time.  If you arrive after the start time, you will not be admitted and it will be counted as a no-show.
