ABOUT MEDGE

During her graduate studies at NYIT, Medge, an accomplished Casting Director, discovered her passion for a career that brings her genuine fulfillment. She began her career in casting by assisting various offices with casting commercials, narrative films, new media, and voice-over, which evolved into her chosen path and passion in the field. Over time, this experience instilled in her the desire to become a Casting Director, a role she has occupied for over 10 years. She appreciates all aspects of her work, including collaborating with filmmakers and providing them with effective assistance and services tailored to each project. This journey was also one of self-discovery, allowing her to diverge from her parents' occupations and pursue a profession that aligns with her passions, without the long-term commitment to a field she is not enthusiastic about. Medge Ross is a highly accomplished casting director with an extensive portfolio of independent films, including 'Legend of El Cucuy', which was part of the LALIF inclusion program and an official selection at the Slamdance Film Festival, among others. Her credits also include 'In the Ring with Daisy King', 'Bilongo', 'White Privilege: A Radio Play', 'Bygone Spring', 'Colors of Solace', 'Consensus', 'Good Bad Luck', 'Race' and 'Liza Anonymous'.

The MR Casting, LLC, her bicoastal office, operates in New York and Los Angeles, with projects featured on Netflix and other streaming platforms, and award-winning films showcased at prestigious festivals. Beyond her professional endeavors, she also values her role in the community. Through volunteering and community service, she engages with individuals from diverse backgrounds, listening, learning, and interacting with people from various walks of life. This experience not only enriches her personal life but also reinforces the importance of serving, understanding, and representing others, principles that she also applies in her professional endeavors.

Her third feature film, 'We’re Not Married', is currently streaming on Tubi. As a proud member of BAFTA and AICP, she also serves on the board.
