SYNOPSIS

This class will include a Q&A with New York based Casting Professional, Dani Markowitz, followed by a prepared work session. 

Participating actors will prepare and perform a scene from film or television.  Sides will be assigned by the casting director ahead of class.  Additional preparation details will be sent via email with your RSVP confirmation.

ABOUT DANI

Dani Markowitz (she/her) is a casting professional who has worked in network television, film, and theatre casting. Recent credits include 'Fantasmas' (upcoming -HBO), 'Pachinko' (upcoming second season - Apple TV+), and 'Contraband' (HBO - pilot). Dani previously worked for several years in the casting department for a major television network with a focus on series regular and major recurring roles. Dani started her career as the Casting Associate for Olney Theatre Center in the Washington, D.C. region and is currently working part-time for New York Theatre Workshop. Prior to her network casting experience, Dani worked at Innovative Artists Agency in their talent & comedy departments, giving her a unique perspective on both talent representation and casting.
