SYNOPSIS

This class will feature a Q&A with Atlanta based Casting Director Christy Faison, followed by a prepared reading session.

Participating actors will prepare and perform a scene that will be assigned by the casting director ahead of class. 

ABOUT CHRISTY

Christy Faison is a casting director with over 15 years of experience. She’s worked on series and pilots for NBC, CBS, and Showtime, including SEAL Team and A Gifted Man for CBS, as well as Aaron Sorkin’s Emmy-winning HBO series The Newsroom.

Her casting credits also include fan favorites like Ash vs Evil Dead and Boss for Starz, IFC’s The Spoils Before Dying, and Terrence Malick’s film Knight of Cups. Christy also cast the Emmy-nominated series Conversations In LA, The Walking Dead: Red Machete, and Stargate Origins, plus many independent films she’s proud to champion.

In June, Christy made the move to Atlanta, excited to connect with a new creative community while continuing to collaborate with her casting partner in Los Angeles. She’s passionate about helping actors put their best foot forward and is thrilled to keep discovering talent on both coasts.
