SYNOPSIS

This class will feature a Q&A with New Orleans based Casting Director Hunter McHugh, followed by a prepared reading session.

Participating actors will prepare and perform a scene a scenes from film/television or commercial copy of their choice.   More information will be sent upon confirmation.

ABOUT HUNTER

Hunter McHugh is a casting director from New Orleans, Louisiana. Casting both in the Southern region and nationwide. Working in big brand commercials, indie films, and theater. He started as an actor. He attended Mandeville High School and New Orleans Center for Creative Arts (NOCCA) focusing on acting. Hunter’s education continued with Northern Illinois University (BFA Acting). Focusing on the Meisner technique. He also got to study abroad in Moscow, Russia at the Moscow Art Theatre focusing on acting. After getting an agent and stepping into many professional settings he realized just how much he loves working closely on the crew side of things. Hunter’s passionate love affair with casting developed as he was working in production. Hunter worked as an assistant to top producers and actors in the big budget feature and TV space primarily in comedy. Eventually, he began assisting casting directors. As of 2019, Hunter began On The Hunt Casting. Hunter is a proud member of the Casting Society of America (CSA). Hunter loves working with talent, producers, and directors to fulfill a vision.
