SYNOPSIS
This in-person class will include a Q&A with New York based Casting Director, Stephanie Holbrook, followed by an assigned prepared reading session.
Stephanie will be assigning sides based on actor headshots and resumes prior to the class.
ABOUT STEPHANIE
Stephanie Holbrook is a Casting Director with extensive credits in both Film and TV.
Stephanie just completed casting the series Long Bright River, starring Amanda Seyfried, for Peacock. She is currently casting ELLA as part of Cate Blanchett’s Proof of Concept Program as well as Twilight of the Dead which will star Milla Jovovich and Betty Gabriel.
Among Stephanie’s countless film projects, she cast Somewhere in Queens, directed by Ray Romano, premiering at TriBeCa Film Festival last year, Marc Meyers’ Human Capital, which premiered at the Toronto International Film Festival. Other Sundance Films: The Wolf Hour, Abe, and The Lifeguard, The Kindergarten Teacher and Madeline’s Madeline, earning Stephanie Artios Awards for Excellence in Casting. Past films include My Friend Dahmer (Tribeca 2017), Equity, Christine, and The Eyes of My Mother (all at Sundance. Also The Happening for M Night Shyamalan, The Book of Love (TriBeCa 2016), Catfight (TIFF), Landline and Thoroughbreds (both at Sundance) as well as Bibi for Christopher Beatty. Stephanie cast the reboot of The Grudge and covered NY casting for John Wick 3.
Throughout her career, Stephanie was on the casting team for Glass, Isle of Dogs, The Life Aquatic with Steve Zissou, Moonrise Kingdom, We Own The Night, The Squid and The Whale, Margot at the Wedding, Margaret, Failure to Launch, The Village, Lady In the Water, among others.
Stephanie cast the series The Sinner and co-cast Servant for M. Night Shyamalan, Hello Tomorrow! and the Pilot of Shyantaram for Apple TV. Was also a CD for Clickbait for Netflix, Outer Range for Amazon. Also for HBO Max: B-Loved, to air later this year.
