This class will include a Q&A with LA based Casting Director Molly Murphy, followed by a prepared work session. 

Participating actors will prepare a scene assigned by the Casting Director several days before the class.

BIO

Molly was driven from an early age towards a career in casting. Her academic and professional trajectory was crafted towards that goal. After receiving her BFA from Stephens College, Molly moved to New York to intern with Stewart/Whitley where she worked on projects such as 'Hadestown', 'Chicago,' and 'Waitress'.

Her next opportunity took her to LA to become a casting assistant with the renown Barden/Schnee Casting, in which she worked on multiple television series (Apple TV+ 'Palm Royale' / ABC 'Alaska Daily' / Paramount+ 'School Spirits'), several motion pictures (Paramount+ 'Little Wing' (Brian Cox, Kelly Reily, Brooklyn Prince) and independent films such as 'Gonzo Girl' (Willem Dafoe, Patricia Arquette, Camilla Monroe) 'Code 3' (Rainn Wilson, Lil Rel Howery, and Aimee Carrero); and 'Ezra' (Robert De Niro, Bobby Cannavale, Rose Byrne).

She has since worked with the Emmy-winning Sibby/Marlise Casting and is currently enjoying working with UDK Casting on the ABC '9-1-1' franchise. She has a passion for all story-telling and loves being a walking "IMDB" for friends and family."
