SYNOPSIS

This in-person class will include a Q&A and a prepared reading session with LA based Casting Director, Sal Schiavone.

Participating actors will choose, prepare and perform sides from a small library of sides provided by Sal.

Additional preparation details will be sent via email upon confirmation.


BIO

SALVATORE SCHIAVONE (he/they) is a Los Angeles based award-winning casting director for film, TV, theatre, and new media. Their experience spans wide and includes network/cable TV, children's entertainment, high-profile limited series, indie films, short films, and big budget features. Select casting credits include: 'Command-Z' (2025 Artios Award-winning short-form series from Steven Soderbergh), 'Play House' (Nicolas Curcio’s directorial debut executive produced by Divide/Conquer & Chroma), 'Occurrence' (Charlie Wachtel’s directorial debut produced by Impossible Dream Entertainment), DE 'Novo' (Jenna Kanell’s directorial debut executive produced by Lilly Wachowski & Chroma), 'Appofeniacs' (Chris Marrs Piliero’s directorial debut; set to release theatrically in 2026), 'Blink Twice' (Zoë Kravitz's directorial debut), 'Good Fortune' (directed by Aziz Ansari), '9-1-1: Lone Star' (from Ryan Murphy & Tim Minear), and 'Bunk'd' (Disney Channel's longest-running live-action sitcom). He has also attached talent to several short films. Prior to going independent, Schiavone was an associate casting director alongside casting directors including Carmen Cuba, Howard Meltzer, Eric Souliere, Dorian Frankel & Sibby Kirchgessner, Debi Manwiller & Russell Boast, and Tracy Lilienfield.
