SYNOPSIS

This class will include a Q&A with LA based Casting Director Catherine Stroud, followed by a prepared work session. 

Participating actors will choose, prepare and perform sides from film or television.

BIO

Lisa London and Catherine Stroud have had a successful casting company for over 30 years and have cast over a 100 successful film and television shows. They have discovered and/or cast many notable actors and actresses early in their careers who have all gone on to become stars; such as Miley Cyrus in Hannah Montana, Jonah Hill in Grandma’s Boy, Emma Stone, Katharine McPhee and Kat Dennings in House Bunny, Selena Gomez in the Disney pilot of What’s Stevie Thinking, Jennifer Aniston in her first feature, Leprechaun, Brad Pitt in the series, Freddy’s Nightmares, Mark Ruffalo in the CBS series, Due South, Megan Hilty, Adrian R. Mante and Victoria Justice in The Suite Life of Zack and Cody and Yara Shahidi in her first television series, The First Family.

Lisa and Catherine have cast a number of hit movies including House Bunny, Grandma’s Boy and Sandy Wexler for Happy Madison Productions; many indie films such as the widely acclaimed, Freaks, Babysplitters, and Switched (a film about cyber-bullying which stars Madeleine Byrne, Miya Horcher, Denise Richards, John Schneider and co-stars Instagram and You Tube personalities Vanessa Merrill and Chelsea Crockett) which is currently one of the most watched films on Pure Flix.

A number of popular television shows including Roseanne, Arliss, Get A Life, The Suite Life of Zack and Cody and Hannah Montana were also just a few of the successful shows London/Stroud cast.

Plus in the challenging year of 2020, Lisa and Catherine cast 7 films that went into production, The Inheritance in Columbus, Georgia, Basement in Long Island, Romancing The Cure in Malta, Canyon Del Muerto in New Mexico, Old Henry in Nashville, and State of Consciousness and Eddie and Sunny in Rome.
