This class will include a Q&A with LA based Casting Director Danny Gordon, followed by a prepared work session.
Participating actors will choose, prepare and perform sides from film or television.

BIO
Danny is an award-winning casting director, theatre director and educator. As a casting director, films to premiere this year include Noam Argov's 'Verse' at the Tribeca Film Festival and San Diego's Comic-Con as well as Andrew Chappelle's 'I'm Gonna Kill You' at the Inside Out Festival and Provincetown International Film Festival. Additional recent casting includes the acclaimed A24/Netflix series 'Beef' (Emmy and Artios Awards for Outstanding Casting) and the film 'All That We Love' (Tribeca Film Festival). His artistic journey began in New York City assisting avant-garde theatre auteur Richard Foreman at the Ontological-Hysteric Theatre. His time in the downtown art scene ignited a passion for actors and how a performer's unique authenticity can strengthen the stories we tell. As a theatre director, Amy Herzog's 'Mary Jane' for an ensemble of actresses with disabilities and Doug Wright's 'I Am My Own Wife' (Transgender Arts Initiative Grant) for an ensemble of transgender and non-binary performers. His adaptation was called 'Singularly powerful and important' by the play's Pulitzer Prize-winning playwright. As an educator, Danny is an adjunct professor in the MFA Acting program at Columbia University where he teaches his course You & the Camera. He has also recently been a guest instructor for NYU Tisch School of the Arts, Carnegie Mellon School of Drama, Syracuse University's Aaron Sorkin Intensive and numerous studios and theatre companies from NY to LA. He is a member of the Casting Society of America, the National Alliance of Acting Teachers and co-founder of The Artist's Space.
